Came here to visit theMary Rose museum et al.Bus at £4.40 for 2 10 minute journey stops outside and it may be worth your time investigating aPortsmouth card to defray the cost of this as parking near the GunWharf is also expensive.A taxi from ferry terminal only cost £8!
That said, the hotel was great.Breakfast excellent with great choices, real orange juice, fresh fruit salad and lots of options.staff helpful and friendly at all times.Room quiet and large with good bed and facilities.Decor is quirky and all is clean unlike many English places we have stayed in the past.We were very happy with our 2 night stay and advice about local tapas restaurant was spot on.We ate there twice(Nicholsons).hotel also convenient to walk along the promenade and around the lake.It was25 degrees so this was a great thing to do.We had brought the Australian weather with us!
