Me and my friend have stayed at Portsmouth's Hotel Ibis twice now. The hotel is affordable, and reasonably well situated.
The hotel is modern, and clean, with friendly staff. However, the twin rooms are very cramped, and the bathroom doesn't feel very private. The bathroom is right next to the beds, and there is a fairly large gap underneath the door. The bathroom itself is also tiny!!! This makes it hard to get changed in there.
The beds are comfy, and the room has a tv. Breakfast is a little overpriced, although you can help yourselves to as much breakfast as you like, and there is plenty to choose from.
The hotel is a twenty minute walk away from the station, the Historic Dockywards, and Gunwharf Quays. There is also a little corner shop right next to the hotel.
All in all, Hotel Ibis in Portsmouth is a nice, comfortable little hotel, and for the price you pay, it's well worth the money.
