We vouched we wouldn't dine at Relentless until we got a special deal, as we didn't fancy dining in any restaurant that advertised above urinals (they had posters above the urinals in our local cinema). Then the opportunity of buying vouchers arose, and we bought them for a friend's birthday meal.
We made our reservation with 3 weeks to spare. The guy on the phone acknowledged our reservation and knew about the vouchers we were trying to use and advised that we needed to bring them with us. Having done all that, when we arrived, the restaurant was still setting up (at 7.30pm), and it took 3 minutes for anyone to pay us any attention. They couldn't find our reservation.
They finally found us a table, and sat us in the window.
Our half-pint (?!) prawn starters were served covered in prawn eggs, which ended up all over your fingers when you tried to shell them. The steak was ok, but not brilliant, and they didn't really get the rare or medium cooking times right.
Meal was ok, but not great. The restaurant lost our reservation initially, and the food was ok, but - adding on dessert and drinks to our meal (1 soft drink & 2 glasses of wine) added on £30 to the voucher price of £29, bringing the total to £59/£60.
We could've had a better meal at another restaurant locally for less, without the voucher.
