Have not visited this cafe for some time, as it had become rather tired, but buoyed by recent reviews, we visited today and were not disappointed. The staff were all very keen and we were warmly greeted. Service was good and the food, with a French theme, was well presented and cooked. The tables are fairly close together which could be a problem at busy times and we were not sure of the circular table just inside the front door which does not give a particularly good impression when first entering. Also moving the coat hooks would help to alleviate the initial cramped entry. However overall the experience was excellent and a vast improvement from the past. We liked the touch of the notice board outside giving the weather on the day in Paris.

A visit for lunch introduced us to this French style café. Lovely well prepared simple food promptly and nicely served. The theme is rustic and intimate. If smoking was allowed then the whiff of Gauloises/Gitanes would be in the air! Will return in the evening when I am sure a full house and gloom lighting will add to the atmosphere.

My wife and I went to Lou Lou's yesterday,I've been there with my colleagues for our Christmas do and everything was perfect that time.
Yesterday was a disgrace, as soon as we entered we were asked if we are going to eat by the chap behind the bar whilst he was on his mobile, he than told us to sit anywhere we wanted and the menus were given to us, We waited for 15 mins for this chap to come and take our order, he was playing with his mobile on the counter instead of acknowledging us, finally he came and took our order which was an americano and a tea, and as per food we ordered 1 large breakfast and 1 small breakfast. Drinks were ok but tea was loose leaf which we didn't know, we waited 40 mins for our food and the food was horrible, cold and tasteless, eggs over cooked, sausages still pink in the middle and the beans cold !! does the chef knows what he's doing ? how hard can it be to cook a decent breakfast. on top of that service was horrible, no cutlery was given to us, we had to get our own napkin and we had finished the drinks by the time food arrived. the chap was more interested about his mobile than the customers. I don't wish no harm to the chap but the owner should have a chat with him as he doesn't have a clue what being a waiter means. I would avoid this place at any cost, there more better and cheaper places in the area.

We took my sister and adult nieces for a pre Christmas meal. We had pre ordered our food which was not a problem. The food was excellent, good quality, fresh and well cooked. The service was carried out efficiently and with a smile. We has a wonderful time. Highly recommended.

We all went here yesterday for a works Christmas meal, none of us were dissapointed. The food is gorgeous really tasty and well prepared. We had crackers and not naff ones, three courses all served in excellent time and we were thoroughly looked after. Great experience will definetly be back to try again. This is a very intimate little restaurant that has a wonderful atmosphere especially at night. Would make a good place for a romantic meal for two but also for a rowdy bunch like us last night. Well done to the staff for making it a wonderful night we all felt spoilt.
