We do this as a Family present at Christmas. This is our 3rd visit here.
We love the pressure of getting out in under an hour.

Hello Jarczyk!

Thank you for your kind words! As the saying goes - Third Time Lucky! Your Gamesmaster remembers how well your group performed. You really made her day! We hope to see you again when we open a new room.

Best Wishes,

The Real Escape Team

Second visit to the Real Escapes, once again we had a great experience. I booked short notice as we had an afternoon with noticing to do.

Staff were really good, and we enjoyed the Mission 60 room. The puzzles were logical and all different. A good room for people that might not have tried too many escape rooms before.

We will be back to do the other rooms when in Portsmouth again.

We also enjoyed the bonus box puzzle we got to try after completing the main room.

Thanks guys

Deciding on the day we fancied doing an escape room we booked Mission 60.
We arrived slightly early which was fine and had our video brief. Lockers are available to pop belongings in. Then it was off to the room!
We got through probably half of it before we hit trouble. Asking for a couple of hints and being given one or two when it was obvious we were struggling really helped. Typically the clues were so obvious. Proper doh! moments but it meant we didn’t waste time.
We managed to escape with exactly 10 minutes to spare.
A lot of fun! Thank you :)

Hi Mazzles_25,

Sometimes it is definitely worth the risk of making last minute plans! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your time as a secret agent during your time playing Mission 60. Glad your team made their escape in time and it sounds like you did most on your own - well done! We'd love to see you again if you fancy being a pirate in a sunken ship, stuck inside a scientist's mind, or making a journey through space - you can even plan in advance if you wish ha ha!

Thank you for your kind words,

The Real Escape Team

10 of us visited on Saturday night and split into 2 teams on 2 rooms. The rooms weren't easy but well laid out and you're given a hint if needed. We were well informed about the games, the staff were brilliant and friendly too. We had such great fun and will definitely visit again to try the other rooms.

We completed the Dr Ryddle room - the concept was good although i think it could have been executed better, the game play was extremely repetitive which left me feeling a little annoyed at times - for that reason it lacked excitement. It was all codes and passwords, and the same input every time wasn’t satisfying or immersive. That said I don’t think it was a bad room, perhaps just not my style as i love super immersive/fantasy feel for the rooms i have most enjoyed. Another thing that I really wasn’t keen on was the hint system - it felt incredibly impersonal and not as if we were being watched, I don’t like walkie talkies either but i do think speaking to someone feels more personal, perhaps that’s just me and we had earlier that day completed other rooms at a different venue that had a brilliant hint system so perhaps we had been spoilt. It was also just the room - no hidden areas to explore or different scenes which i have come to realise i really enjoy from a room.

Our game master Marina was friendly and pleasant, we would still like to give their other rooms a try (on the day booking and was all that was available) as some of the other rooms might have been more our bag.

One thing that was a big plus for this company was the additional free mindset box (a mini escape game played in a box) which could last you up to 15/20 minutes which you were given the option to play after your game, which was a nice touch.

Thank you for your candid feedback. We take all this feedback into consideration when we look at improving our rooms for quality assurance, or even as we plan new rooms. Indeed, Marina is one of our oldest Games Masters and always does an excellent job with enhancing the experience. We are also glad to provide one free Mindset box playthrough after each of our rooms to extend the challenge further. We look forward to seeing you back soon! :)

Best regards
