Reviewed April 14, 2013 via mobile

My husband and i discovered this little gem while visiting winchcombe for the first time.
It is so cosy and perfectly British.
The lady who served us was very friendly and all the other customers were nice too!
Lovely food and tea.
Must visit again soon as we have now moved to this fantastic part of the world!

“Tea at closing time”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

After a 10 mile walk in freezing conditions this tea room was a welcome sight. Friendly service, can recommend the coffee and walnut cake.

“School dinners par excellence”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

I had the Shepherd's Pie and when it arrived I exclaimed - "Good, school dinners"! It was excellent and plenty of it. Fresh vegetables were present at the table in a large bowl; there enough for 4 people though only 2 of us were eating them. After luch I was called to one side by the cook/owner who asked what I meant by school dinners. I said it remined me of the way school dinners used to be served and said "I used to cook school dinners for several schools in Oxfordshire"! There is a definate style to the serving of school dinners and here it showed. Excellent food, good service, not expensive at all, lovely waiting staff and a lovely, warm, atmosphere

“Lovely scones”
Reviewed August 15, 2012

We stopped here for afternoon tea in the "tea garden" on a lovely sunny day. The food was good and the staff were very welcoming & helpful. And the scones were excellent!
