Owner description: Even though it is a bit of hike to get to, this ancient burial mound is worth the effort, especially towards dusk when the site becomes magical in appearance.

What a lovely walk through glorious countryside with spectacular views down into the misty autumn valley.
The signposting was really good, although i think the distances were greater than they said........well my legs thought so. From Winchcombe, with an elderly and quite slow Pointer it took us two hours for the round trip
The burial moubd is fascinating....restored and very atmospheric. There are entrances you can stoop down and go under, and enough history about burials and human sacrifice to make you glad its not still in use.
The countryside, and autumn colours were beautiful.
and then we went to the
White Hart for lunch.

Thank Ronald H

Interesting monument to visit if you are walking in the area but not worth a special visit/detour for.

heard a lot about this place, so we took a drive up and took a stroll around, wasn't like anything the people of the village spoke about, however a nice walk with the dogs

We came here on a round walk and we were most impressed. For a start the walk took us through lovely countryside and there wasn't a soul in sight. We were amazed how well preserved the barrow is and there are information plaques for those like us who knew nothing about Belas Knap before hand. I would definitely recommend coming here

Visited this many times, you can even shelter in the burial chambers if it rains ! One of the best preserved tombs of the type in the Couintry
