Owner description: Even though it is a bit of hike to get to, this ancient burial mound is worth the effort, especially towards dusk when the site becomes magical in appearance.

I visited the site by taking the circular walk from Winchcombe. It's a steep walk but you're treated to stunning views on the way up and down and it doesn't take long (it took me about 90 minutes or so to walk up and back).

The barrow itself is a peaceful spot and an impressive construction, the information board gives you the history of the excavations and what was found, I would've liked more information but it may be that we don't know much more than that.

I'd certainly take the walk up again.

Thank Dan C

This great attraction is overseen by English heritage and is actually free to go and see anyway - it was really busy this time when I went as it was a glorious day - I was going on a walk that went passed it and it was good to see so many people out enjoying the brilliant weather and seeing the place of historic interest - I will be back to see it next month (September) with a group of walkers and hope for a good day weather-wise then too

Worth the walk up the steep hill to view Belas Knap. Lovely views the majority of the way up. Information board once at Belas Knap with more information. Nice place for a stroll and relax in the countryside.

It was worth the climb to see this Neolithic long narrow. Makes you curious about those who raised it.

After a beautiful walk we came across Belas Kano Long Barrow. It has been very well restored by English a Heritage and is a great place to enjoy the peace & quiet of the countryside and take in the atmosphere of the site. A must for people interested in history
