I visited the site by taking the circular walk from Winchcombe. It's a steep walk but you're treated to stunning views on the way up and down and it doesn't take long (it took me about 90 minutes or so to walk up and back).
The barrow itself is a peaceful spot and an impressive construction, the information board gives you the history of the excavations and what was found, I would've liked more information but it may be that we don't know much more than that.
I'd certainly take the walk up again.
