Lords of the Manor is a very special hotel and I can't recommend it highly enough. A beautiful hotel in a beautiful location with a Michelin restaurant, but what makes this hotel so special is the staff. If you read other reviews you will see the same comment. The staff here are truly exceptional. From the moment you arrive the atmosphere is professional yet warm and welcoming. You are made to feel like nothing is too much trouble and that they are pleased you are staying. Our bedroom was stunning and everything you could need was provided. The public rooms as well are beautifully decorated and comfortable. Dinner was fabulous - the food, the wines, the service. Breakfast was given with the same careful attention as dinner and was a lovely start to the day. I'm definitely going back.

The hotel is in a perfect location. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. The hotel has some grounds with a stream at the bottom. Very peaceful to sit and read your book.

Andy- the concierge is very helpful and had good recommendations for day trips and local pubs.

The breakfast is good. The michelin star restaurant is very good. The portions are small but the tastes are very different and unique. I would never be able to make this food at home which adds to the whole experience.

My recommendations to make the place even better are:-

- background music in the restaurant;
- the choice to eat outside if you would like (it was very nice and sunny the weekend we went).

Lastly the beds and pillows are so comfortable, which is very important.

This is a lovely, relaxing place to stay. Set in the beautiful little village of Upper Slaughter, in the picturesque heart of the Cotswolds, this is an ideal place to get away from it all. Excellent food in the restaurant, fantastic afternoon tea on the lawn, beautifully comfortable bed, great bath, and excellent service. What more could you ask for? There is no spa, no fancy add-ons, just a great place to relax, read, eat and sleep. We managed to haul ourselves out for a short, scenic, circular walk to Lower Slaughter (a thriving metropolis in comparison to Upper Slaughter) and back, but were so exhausted by our activity that we had to have a little lie-down on the lawn. The restaurant is Michelin starred (we recommend the tasting menu), the staff are the right side of being attentive without being claustrophobic and there were some nice touches such as the fudge in the room when we arrived and the lovely bath products. Thoroughly recommended for a leisurely treat.

Dear Guest
I am glad that you had a relaxing time with us and that you managed to fit in a walk while you were with us. Lower Slaughter does tend to be a bit overcrowded with day trippers so we are glad you made it back to the peace and quite of Upper Slaughter for your outdoor snooze.
I hope we will see you again.
Kind regards

A quite charming building with a collection of public rooms tastefully furnished. Discreet service. Comfortable beds and well equipped bedroom. Just a side I have never experienced a bath fill so quickly with water. Quite some plumbing. Take time to wander in the grounds down to the stream. Very good breakfast . The Cotswolds is an outstanding area to visit. Unspoilt villages, national trust properties and much more.

Lords of the Manor hotel is a charming manor house in Cotswolds, oozing natural luxury and profound taste.
It’s everything one truly loves about the good old England, with the picturesque honey-colored stone houses, lavender aroma of the garden or traditional 5 o’clock tea.
Beautiful surroundings and the old manor house itself carry a blissful and relaxed mood from the moment you arrive ( oh how you wish to arrive in old Bentley) throughout all your stay thanks to impeccable service.
I would like to specially mention the Michelin star restaurant dinner, which was just superb. Besides, bar area is lovely and chic making an ideal place for a drink in style before dining.
The rooms are huge, suit-type, each with it’s own name, with spacious bathrooms, l’occitaine products and very comfortable beds.
There are lots of comfortable yet secluded sitting areas and separate rooms in the hotel making it private and quiet even for a business meeting if you wish.
All in all- you will enjoy every moment in this beautiful house, maybe like me - secretly imagining it was all yours.

My other half took me to stay at Lords of the Manor for our anniversary last year in October. We were easily the youngest couple there, but the staff treated us without prejudice. The staff were all impeccable, smiley, friendly, and either clearly loved their jobs or were fantastic actors! Nothing was too much trouble for them. The 7 course tasting menu was divine. Easily the best food both I and my other half have ever tasted. The room was comfortable and well appointed. The location was second to none. If its the last thing you ever do, make sure you go here!

This hotel is situated in Upper Slaughter just a short distance from Lower Slaughter .
Beautiful gardens, our room was to the rear of the hotel, was beautifully equipped, furnishings quite a mix of styles, very comfortable, L'Occitaine toiletries, complimentary Elderflower Presse, luxury towels. We had dinner in the Michelin star restaurant, they have a new chef, but you wouldn't know, service was like clockwork, food was delicious, great wine menu too.
Breakfast was delicious and service was Michelin standard even tho it was breakfast.
Staff very very good.

Dear Guest
What a splendid review, we are so glad you enjoyed our part of the Cotswolds. We are glad Richard our Chef got the thumbs up - he is quite settled now and is doing great things with a rather modest ego, which we like.

I hope we see you again soon.
Kind regards
