Mty boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights, a Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, we were not told when booking that there is no car park for the hotel!! Managed to park in a pay and display car park just down the road. No one mans the reception at all, but the bar staff were very friendly when checking us in. The room was beautiful, as was the bathroom. Water in the shower however was lukewarm at best. Had dinner in the bar that evening which was absolutely delicious!! Breakfast the next morning was also lovely, freshly cooked and very prompt. Bed was so comfortable, it was the best night's sleep I've had in ages! We were disappointed to miss breakfast on the Monday morning as had not been told that it is served at a different time during the week. Also, borrowed an ironing board on the first night, were told to leave it outside the room to be collected, where it remained for the duration of our stay! Be mindful that you do not leave anything in the room when departing...my phone charger vanished into a black hole in the room I believe!
Staff were lovely and very attentive. Just need a few touch ups in the hotel! Would stay again.

I have just returned from The Ormand after a two-night stay, celebrating a family wedding.. the entire bride and groom party filled up every single room of this small boutique hotel, unfortunately as presentable as the hotel was, and as nice and attentive the hard-working staff tried to be the hotel simply couldn't seem to cope with being run at full capacity.

On the morning of the wedding, as the guests began to get ready, several rooms were left without water, while perhaps it's understandable that the hot water may run out for a short time it's simply unacceptable to be left without ANY running water at all, the taps run dry and we were unable to even flush our toilet, not very pleasent when stuck in such a small room.

After waiting for over 2 hours for the water supply to return, we were eventually treated to a short cold-shower before the supply cut out again. Sadly this was not a one off and after the second night of our minimum 2 night stay we were once again unable to shower or flush the toilet, this was despite being kept awake during the night with the sound of the toilet unsuccessfully trying to fill up it's cistern.

While The Ormand has potential to be a very nice hotel in the heart of Tetbury, with a great bar and restaurant the basic standard of what you would expect from any hotel, let alone one charging over £200 simply were not there and until this was rectified I would not recommend staying their to anyone.

Nice spot to stay but due to some rooms face on to court yard can get a little loud out side as restaurant and bar are below rooms.
Some rooms are a little small for price you have to pay for them but the room I stayed in was fine and very comfortable. Would recommend for short stay as staff are very friendly and very welcoming.

Room Tip: ask to see rooms as price for the size of room very

We booked a superior room for one night and arrived early evening. The hotel does not have a car park but you can park outside overnight after 6 as long as your gone by 9am! There is also a long stay just up the road.
The hotel i larger than you think and the bar and restaurant seemed lively although we were going to a wedding so didn't try it.
Room was beautifully furnished and breakfast was very good.
My only small critism was the bathroom was very small with only a small shower and the bed was a standard double. For superior room prices I would of expected both to be bigger.
Staff were very good so all in all a good experience!

First problem - no parking available. We were told that there was a free car park "3/4 minutes walk away". This turned out to be almost a mile down a very steep hill, out of the town and surrounded by high trees - ideal car nicking country, so we opted to park for free on the street a short distance from the hotel.

The bedroom was fine if a bit quirky but it is an old building - we were on two levels. The bathroom was tiny and the toilet so close to the wall that "sidesaddle" was the only option. The bed was like a rock and the most uncomfortable that I have slept in for years with me getting a very sore back as a result.

Did not use the restaurant at night but the breakfast in the morning was fine. All the staff were very friendly and tried to be helpful.

Room Tip: Avoid room 3 at all costs unless they have changed to bed!

The Ormond is Ok.
It could be really good with just a few simple changes.
Location great.
Bar & Resturant great.
Room Ok !
Bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
But for the price of £80 b&b the room had a poor shower and wash basin.
So small with silly shelf over the sink that was just pointless.
No wardrobe just a wall hook setup.
Breakfast was good and the staff were pleasant helpful.
We would return but ask for a room with better bath or shower facility's than (room 4)
Other guests should note that their is no parking at this hotel !
Park on the road or find the carpark 5 mins away !

Room Tip: Find parking first then walk back to hotel. Bar is busy and loud until closing.

Me and my partner stayed here this month after deciding we needed a relaxing break - this is exactly what we got. We searched lots of hotels in the Cotswolds and thought this one looked really nice.

Parking is not a problem at all, there's a co op right next door when you can pull in just while you check in and the long stay car park is really no more than a 3 minute walk away.

From the moment we stepped into the hotel we felt really welcome, our bags were carried upstairs and the manager Iain was so friendly. Throughout our stay all the staff were fantastic actually. Iain recommended loads of places for us to go and visit, the bar staff were always smiling and the service in the restaurant was perfect. One morning when we missed breakfast we were given free tea/coffee when we ordered lunch.

The food here is gorgeous, we sampled breakfast lunch and dinner and were more than happy with each. We'd also recommend the Priory Inn for food as well it was honestly one of the best meals we've ever had, also we went in on a Sunday when they have live music playing each week. it's just round the corner from the Ormond.

Our room at the Ormond was amazing (the stable room) so comfortable and spacious yet cosy. We really couldn't Have asked for more from this hotel and would DEFINITELY stay again.

Tetbury itself is really nice, lots of cute little shops and cafes. We also visited Bibury which is stunning, so picturesque and beautiful. There's a trout farm there which is great for families, you can just wander round, feed the fish and take in the scenery or you can actually have a go at catching some fish. Definitely visit Bourton on the Water if you can which is also stunning and has loads to do. We particularly enjoyed Birdland and the model village.

We were gutted we only had 3 days there as there is so much to see and do and we really didn't want to say good bye to the hotel! :(

Again we'd like to say a special thanks to Iain and of course all of the wonderful staff here. Hope to see you again soon!
