Stayed for one night in the Princes Suite, for an evening supper at Highgrove, which is only a couple of miles away. This is Nicky and Gary's home and they make you very welcome - the house is extremely comfortable with an extensive and eclectic mixture of modern and traditional art and furnishings throughout. The room itself was spacious, warm and with a good modern bathroom, and a very comfortable four poster bed, and lovely views of the village square from the window. Nicky does the most amazing cooked breakfast - which will set anyone up for the entire day. Parking is convenient and right in front of the house in prebooked spaces. This is NOT a hotel - some previous reviews have bemoaned this - but it splendidly exclusive and its smaller size means that the level of service is first class. Not a particularly cheap overnight stay, but worth it for all these reasons and more. Tetbury itself is delightful and although we didn't have very much time to be able to explore we are planning to return in the summer to do the Highgrove garden tour and we will certainly rebook Oak House No 1 for our visit. Overall - a very good stay.More
