Had a takeaway sandwich for lunch from here and it was absolutely delicious!
Super fresh bread and ingredients. I had goats cheese and ham with salad leaves and a caramelised onion chutney.
Only £3.70 and was a large sandwich that I could only just get my teeth around.
Would definitely recommend grabbing lunch here if you get the chance.
They also make fresh quiche daily which is gorgeous too, get there for 12 noon and it’s still warm from the oven. Gorgeous with salad and some balsamic glaze.
Lots of choice and you won’t be disappointed.

Sandwiches are freshly made and overall tasty. Portions are very good too. However, as it's already been observed, beware of the mood of the staff. For example, today's lady got my order wrong and as soon as I pointed it out (and I did it very tactfully), she acted like a child who refuses to accept they misbehaved. She changed the sandwich with a grumpy face and the enthusiasm of a slug. She looked so bothered that I just wanted to leave. Why waiting to be served by someone who doesn't want to serve you so much? But I felt too appalled and helpless. She said nothing, no apologies or signs of understanding. Clear lack of customer care skills. And there was no queue, so she wasn't in a hurry or stressed.

I think it is only fair that it is made clear what happened with regards to this situation. The customer came in and ignored the staff members greeting, that's ok, we don't mind that. While the customer was pondering other customers started to come in, the customer asked how salty each of the hams were, the staff member answered these questions, a queue at this point was forming behind the customer and others were coming in to sit in, we have an upstairs as well and we are also a shop, as you can imagine at this time of year it doesn't take long to suddenly get busy and for queues to form. The customer asked for a sandwich of the day with veroni italian roasted ham, the sandwich of the day was chorizo, cheddar and chilli jam. The staff member quickly put the sandwich together and was wrapping it when the customer said she wanted brie not cheddar, the staff member altered the sandwich for her. The customer then said she didn't want sauce (the chilli jam) at that point there was a significant queue and we were very busy upstairs as well. The staff member was frustrated but she started the sandwich from scratch, while I am told the customer stood there and was being rude. The staff member handed over the sandwich and took payment. The other customers commented that the staff member should have asked the customer to leave without her lunch and were very frustrated themselves with how the customer behaved. I was told what happened by two cross customers and three staff members, all with the same version of events, I can only assume therefore that this is what happened. I do not see how the customer feels she handled the situation tactfully, if she felt the staff member was misbehaving or was acting childishly, why not speak to a manger or the owner, instead of running online to be rude about the staff member? Maybe the customer needs to become more aware of what is going on around her. The staff member is a favourite amongst customers for her customers service and her work ethic, we therefore felt we owe it to the staff member to reply to this review as we feel it is unfair.

Excellent, unpretentious food that stands out in a location long on cafes and short on something a little more distinctive, supported by a warm unfussy welcome (and on a cold December day at that). "Quiche" doesn't really describe the light mix of bacon, cheese, sweet potato and heaven knows what else that filled us so comfortably. And they make a real espresso, too.
