“A very convenient base from which to walk the Cotswold Way.”
Reviewed June 4, 2018 for a stay in May 2018

The location is excellent for walking the Cotswold Way, exploring the Stroudwater Navigation and investigating the area around Stroud and beyond. It is a comfortable, well equipped apartment, albeit somewhat noisy, due to being situated on a busy roundabout. However, this is offset by its convenience and the light, spaciousness of the accommodation.

“Good location”

The location of this apartment is very good for a quick walk into Stroud centre with plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose from for an evening out. There are lots of places to visit on the doorstep for either shoppers (Cirencester is wonderful with lots of independent shops) or walkers - canal walks on the doorstep and beautiful countryside very close by.
I can appreciate the owners are exploiting every inch of space available to allow 4 people to stay there, however this apartment would be cramped if 4 people stayed. I found it off-putting that there was a made up bed in the living room and also another bed in the bedroom. Again I know this would be useful for families but, for me, it detracted from what could be a really nice space.
When we arrived at the car park after a long drive in bank holiday traffic the electronic device to open the barrier was not working and we received no reply from the number given though to be fair we did arrive at 8.15pm. We had to park elsewhere and then use the emergency number located in the apartment to get the problem sorted out.
The apartment itself is perfectly pleasant and everything else worked without problem. Given that it's on the top floor though it's quite a walk up and the slanting walls could be a bit of a hazard for taller people. After bumping your head a couple of times you adjust!
The information given in the description is factual and overall we enjoyed our short stay here. (It would have been useful to know that the duvet was feather as I am allergic to feathers and the blanket found in a drawer looked a little grubby. Apart from that the cleanliness of the apartment was fine.)

“An excellent base from which to explore Stroud”

This was our third stay here, the second in this flat, and as always it was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Its central position means that a car isn't necessary and the train station is very close.

“Brilliant yet again.”
Reviewed August 17, 2013 for a stay in April 2013

This is the second time I have stayed in this group of apartments but my first visit to this one (4) a friend and I decided we needed to get away and chill and my first thought was Bell House Apartments we went by train because of the ideal location. I also found the fabulous Saturday market and a Waitrose in the centre of town. Everything you need in theseapartments is there so if you forget your shampoo it's there ready for you. The bed linen and towels are so clean and fresh it's like a Lenor advert. My only downer is there are a lot of stairs to carry luggage up but it's very do-able. So having said that I can't praise them high enough.

“Ideal accommodation for the stay”
Reviewed August 11, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

A lovely apartment with all mod cons. Internet and good sky package. Very comfortable beds with white bedding and lots of extras. Lovely little cafe downstairs next to the canal. Dogs were welcome and our two had a great time up on the common. Ideal spot for local places of interest as central for Cirencester or Cheltenham with fab villages in between such as Nailsworth or Painswick or Tetbury. We would have stayed longer this time but the apartment was booked and we do plan to return again as we love the area. A great find!

“Thoroughly recommended”
Reviewed May 20, 2013 for a stay in May 2013

Beautifully furnished etc, warm and comfortable; helpful owner. Only gripes were minor - couldn't find a toast rack, or extra bin bags, so couldn't put out rubbish in the middle of our stay, though one is asked to.
We were concerned that the flat might be noisy, as close to a major roundabout, and the train station, but this proved to be a non-issue. It's walking distance to most things you need, though not really to the local supermarkets.
As the flat is up five (short) flights of stairs it wouldn't be suitable for anyone with breathing or mobility problems.
If we needed to be in Stroud again we would certainly return to this flat, and very much enjoyed staying in it.
