The restaurant itself has large picture windows making the most of far reaching views across the Gloucestershire countryside. There are tables outside on the terrace area to enjoy the stunning scenery on those warm sunny days and balmy evenings. The menu is varied with the addition of roast dinners on a Sunday, there is also a lunch time and specials menu. I've eaten here on a few occasions and always found the food to be consistently good and reasonably priced. The staff are pleasant although I did feel a little rushed by them on my last visit. Perhaps this was due to it being a busy Sunday lunch time. A little more time in between courses would be nice! Booking here is advisable especially for Sunday lunch as they do get very busy.

Whether your looking for a tasty meal or a drink with friends, the Edgemoor Inn is well worth a visit for the views alone.

Been here dozens of times with friends and family - small and larger groups. Food always consistent, wide choice on menu plus specials. Delicious steak and ale pie, always a couple of fish options and delicious desserts. Have heard people complain that it's noisy but have never found it so myself. Staff not always perfect - tend to be young and need a bit more guidance especially when it comes to communicating with older members - but nothing terrible, just need a bit more training to communicate better and talk louder. Always good, always look forward to another visit - one of our favourites.

I loved sitting outside on a clear summer evening watching the sun set. There was such a beautiful view and this made a family meal out very enjoyable. Food was good. I think the scenery makes it a worthwhile visit.

After a drive out around the glorious Gloucestershire countryside we happened across an innocuous pub with views that made you want to take a further look.

The Edgemoor offers visitors an attractive setting, interesting menu and a traditional friendly service.

A previous trip advisor report mentioned that the lamb cutlets were tiny, I can only assume the management had listened as my cutlets were generous and cooked to perfection, a wonderful onion gravy, new potatoes and a bed of spinach with sweet baby tomatoes was a lovely meal. My wife had the garlic chicken and chorizo with goats cheese salad, again a generous serving and cooked well.

Service was attentive without being over bearing and a good selection of ales rounded off an excellent evening.

In total the bill was £40, which I consider value for money, and the setting is to die for....

Best way to find the Edgemoor Inn is to slowly follow the snake lke curves of the A4173, Gloucester / Stroud road to the village of Edge. the pub / restaurant is slightly set back on a tight cornerand has a very steep approach to the car park. That said, we followed the Sat Nav route for a fun tripdown increasingluy narrowing country lanes, which were topped with Cotswold stone.

We had a friendly welcome, and choice of window seats on an early but wet Monday.
The weather brightened, and the menus did not disappoint either.
The Edgemoor Inn has a good kitchen with some lovely local produce. Our choices of Lamb shanks, meat pies, and salmon were just right for this occaision.
We also had superb views across the Slad and Painswick valleys; no traffic in sight, and a landscape before us that seemed untouched since the late1920s "Cider with Rosie" days of local poet, Laurie Lee.
Edge is well named with great views froom the Inn across this picturesque and untouched corner of rural England; indeed we were able to work out the way that Sat Nav had chosen for us - a route seemingly from the past.
Desset followed with farmhouse size portions, matched by ploughmans ( horseman sized) cheese and biscuits /good local ales, and well choosen wines were complimented by friendly efficent service.
This small family get together was transformed into a memorable occaision for our special guest. She really apprecitated both the tranquil pastoral views, the meal and the products of this magical part of Gloucestershire.
Great day out/ excellent food/ drinks and service.
