My friend and I booked a room at The Pound for 2 nights and we loved the place. We were the only guests so had full use of the cozy sitting room as well. Pat was a charming host and it felt like we were visiting with a sister. Breakfasts were delicious! Pat's son was very helpful with the luggage. And their dog, Biggles, was a big hit with us, but she assured us that with less dog-friendly people, Biggles is kept in their part of the house. The house is 500 years old so it has low ceilings which could be a problem for very tall people. A narrow spiral staircase leads to the bedroom and bath, which may be a problem for people with mobility problems. We found the house perfect for the Cotswolds, with nice little touches, photos of family, and lots of books. It was on a busy road, but that did not bother us, and the location was perfect for taking walks in the countryside and visiting the shops, teahouses, and pubs of Stow. As soon as we left, we missed it!
