Great location in the market square, lovely grounds and central for touring the Cotswolds. This is a family run business with high standards. This was our second visit and we were not disappointed. Our room, the same as on our previous visit was comfortable and thanks to the double glazing and thick walls.
There is a delightful lounge with a hidden passage behind the book case, with a lovely log fire when the weather is inclement. Just right for a pre dinner drink in the evening.
The standard of food served in the Dining Room is excellent with an extensive menu and excellent service.
If visiting the Cotswolds this is the place to stay.

Room Tip: If you want a ground floor room with shower only at a reasonable price try #29.

I visited this restaurant to dine with my mother, father, husband and 6 month old. On arrival in the main restaurant I was greeted by a very rude man who exclaimed "are you going outside?" In a very rude tone. I replied no that we wished to eat inside, to which he replied that they do not accept under 5's and didn't we see the sign? We were all made to feel extremely uncomfortable and made a quick exit. If the member of staff had been more approachable and polite I would not have been offended. When we left, the sign was not visible at all as the door was wedged open. I am glad at his rudeness as we later dined at a neighbouring restaurant which was beautiful & more than welcoming of us and our 6 month old (who is no bother at all).

Fantastic 4 night stay at Stow lodge, family owned hotel in Cotswold.
Very friendly and helpful personel, oldtime feeling in a lovely setting.
A nice base for trips and excursions in the region.
Definitly a place to recommend.

For the first time ever we stayed at a hotel on the basis of top quality Trip Advisor reviews, and found them fully justified. The Lodge is a top quality hotel in a splendid location, with ample parking, very friendly professional staff, and high quality food. What more could you want? We did use a late rooms provider and this left us in a room in the coach house - very clean, well equipped, spacious - but not of the character and quality to be found in the main house. Booking direct is the way to get the full experience. The restaurant was quiet so we ate the next night in the bar - better value for money and more atmosphere. But overall, a hotel we will short list for special event stays in future.

Room Tip: Book direct to get the best rooms in the main house

Popped in whilst visiting the area and had drinks in the gorgeous garden, hats off to the gardener. It was a glorious sunny day and it was lovely to spend time at the hotel. Staff that we met in that short time were very friendly.
Guests looked very relaxed and chilled out

Will return.
