The King's Arms looked a nice pub and the service was very good, but what was presented as Sunday roast was poor. The pork was good but there was only two small thin slices and a whisker of crackling, the gravy and yorkshire weren't bad but the vegetables were very meagre and sad, almost School Dinners! Huge disappointment so will vote with my feet!

Charming pub, terrific waiter, great hamburger made from
locally raised beef. Good fish & chips too.

Visited Stow-on-the-Wold one wet December weekend, wandered into this pub to get out of the weather.
The bar staff were friendly and efficient. We both ordered the 'proper pie' - a steak and ale pie on this night - it was one of the best pub pie's we've ever eaten.
The overall atmosphere was that of a nice English pub and was definitely a good escape from the rather nasty winter weather. If you just want a quick and easy meal this place is worth a visit.

We were a party of 5. We chose the Kings Arms because it was right in front of us when we got out of the car and we were hungry. The food was really good.

Service is a bit slow but it's worth the wait. And there's magazines to read anyway.

We can totally recommend the 'proper pie'.

After waiting almost an hour for Sunday lunch, our party of eight adults meals arrived not as all requested. Beef and pork was ok, but mash and veg(diced carrot and swede) was cold, roast potatoes when brought were obviously cooked some time previously and not edible. A complimentary dessert or drinks were offered by waitress, (who I in no way blame) but by now we were were so disappointed we simply wanted to leave.
Manager or chef couldn't be bothered to even come and speak with us. Not the way to run a business!
