We have just returned from a 4 day break in the cotswolds, the hotel was superb ,we booked an executive room at £140 per night b and b ,upon arrival we were upgraded to a suite and taken to the room by one of the owners,it was sheer luxury and nothing was to much trouble for the friendly staff,a special mention to Olly and the young lady on reception,it was centrally located so we were able to travel around the lovely surrounding area,as with anything you book on the net you are not sure what you are getting but this surpassed our wildest dreams,i know that it might sound a bit expensive but it was worth every penny,i cannot find anything negative to say,i also believe that the restaurant was excellent,i did not use this as i am a funny eater.

We always read reviews on Trip Advisor before booking any holiday but this is the first review that we have written. We stayed at Number Four at Stow for two nights in April for our silver wedding anniversary on the dinner, bed and breakfast package. We were very fortunate to be upgraded to a suite on arrival. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean and all of the staff very attentive and polite. All of our meals were excellent and also the wine which we enjoyed so much the first night that we ordered again on the second! We've been trying to purchase this wine since our stay but to no avail. We could have done with stopping another two nights so that we could try some of the other great food from the Cutlers menu. I have already recommended the hotel to family and friends and would not hesitate to book again ourselves.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience of Number Four. We're delighted you enjoyed your stay and the food and wine in Cutler's Restaurant. If you contact us to let us know the wine we can try and find a supplier near to you. We look forward to welcoming you and some of your friends/family again soon.
Kind regards

We have never enjoyed a meal so much. There was nothing to fault. The meat was cooked to perfection. I had the duck, which was succulent and pink and my wife had the steak, which melted in the mouth.

We stayed at Number Four for 3 nights as a short honeymoon following our wedding. We could not fault the hotel, we were given a warm welcome by the owner and upgraded to a suite on arrival which was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Even though the hotel is near a busy road, we did not hear the traffic very much once inside, and did not feel this had an impact on our journeys to and from the hotel. The hotel is situated in an ideal spot to explore the neighbouring villages/attractions. The staff were fantastic and were ALWAYS polite, very helpful and attentive (especially at meal times). The hotel was VERY clean and decorated with a very modern look. The food was very good and could not fault any dinner or breakfast that we had. Many thanks to the staff for making our stay perfect and the good weather was an added bonus! Looking forward to staying again, have already recommended it to family and friends.

We stayed for two nights at The Number Four @ Stow & can honestly say we enjoyed the experience from start to finish--the staff were very friendly & attentive. The Hotel was lovely with very comfortable beds & much needed air conditioning, as it was very hot over Easter. The food at Cutler's Restaurant was wonderful, with just enough choice to please most people.Would definitely recommend it's location, although on a busy road, it was still very pleasant sitting out until 10 o'clock on the terrace as it was very warm.

My wife and I stayed at the No 4 for the first time and liked the reviews on TripAdvisor. The hotel was completely renovated in 2010 and the facade is the most lovely Cotswold stone with well tended gardens and views of open countryside. We were warmly welcomed by one of the owners Caroline who personally showed us to our room (110). Very nice with flat screen TV and views of the open countryside and air con. The staff are mainly German which makes for good efficiency. All were so very welcoming and stopped what ever they were doing as you passed to chat and ask how you were. We ate in the restaurant two nights and the food was excellent as was the wine. We cannot recommend this hotel enough - it's a gem.
