“Interesting Church and Graveyard”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

Liked the 99 yew trees together with magnificent tombs reflecting the wealth of the village due to sheep farming. Many tombs have the script in metalwork which makes for easy reading.

“beautiful church and gardens”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

As I was staying next door to the church, I walked around the gardens and cemetery most nights. It was very pretty, although quite atmospheric after dark with all the Yew trees lining the pathways :-)

“Unusual graveyard”
Reviewed September 10, 2013

The church is next to the attractive high street. The churchyard contains an abundance of table tombs and yew avenues . There is also a half timbered lychgate with a cottage incorporated in one side and some unusual iron stocks (c 1840) just outside the churchyard wall.

“99 Yew Trees?”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

The Church is lovely to look around full of interesting history & the many and multishaped Yew trees really lovely & full of superstition 'The devil doesn't allow more than 99 trees, so no more grow' get the kids to count them.
