From the outside this pub, which is just off the Market Square, does not appear particularly appealing, certainly for food. However once inside the two menu boards provided a day to day choice and also a Sunday roasts. We had a Chicken Salad and also two vegetarian Sunday Roasts. As it was 7pm when we arrived at the pub we wondered if they would still be able to provide the roasts. Much to our delight a large plate full of freshly cooked food arrived. It was a joy to have cauliflower with a little cheese sauce rather than the usual state of mangled florests hidden in a sauce, broccoli, cabbage and carrots. Yorrshire Pud(of course), roast potatoes and to top it off quorn sausages. Thank you, you made two vegetarians very happy, oh, and the meat eater enjoyed his too.
As an addendum this is a large pub inside with a garden at the back. It looks as though this may be a bit of a party pub on Friday and Saturday nights. Mind you another bonus was Pimms was available, and also on tap!
