“Like the Curate's Egg”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013

Lunch at the Crown was an interesting experience and offered a good selection of food. Service was prompt on a rare hot day when we were fortunate to get a table in the enclosed courtyard. The interior is amazingly Spartan (traditional pub?). Sadly my beef sandwich was very rare and un-chewable but the staff made up for it by providing Wi-fi access!

“perfect lunch in Cirencester”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013

visited this pub for lunch on a Monday lunch time in may perfect clean pub in all aspects, great choice of ales and ciders also you can double up your shots for a pound, now for the food well there is a solid main menu i would say one of the best although i went with the special mixed grill all meats were cooked to perfection steak, chops, gammon, sausages and some lamb hats off to the chef no complaints just a slight suggestion a mixed grill should come with eggs and onion rings standard really but maybe just my view will be back again when next in Cirencester :)

“Satisfying lunch!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2013

Went to Cirencester to meet friends and tried this pub for lunch. Very good indeed. The chips are indeed legendary, alas I could not finish all mine (unheard of). Good quality food and not massively pricey either. Would go back here.

“Crowning glory”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013

Ate here on Easter Sunday during a busy lunchtime service. Pub is deceptively big on the inside with a lovely open fire which adds to the warm atmosphere created by the staff. Good menu choice offered a range of freshly prepared dishes with tastes for everyone. We both opted for the sunday lunch (roast beef) which came with a lovely yorkshire pud and 3 roasties aswell as a selection of well-cooked vegetables - bit disappointing to not get other potatoes. A generous boat of additional meaty gravy made this a very enjoyable meal :-) Service was extremely efficient and our doggy enjoyed herself too.

“Grrrreat value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2013

Popped in for a quick sandwich, and brought the dogs in from the car. The chicken sandwich and Jessie Smith burger were delicious and the chips a meal in themselves. We sat in a quiet corner so our Springadors would not annoy anyone (darlings they are), but the waitress was still kind enough to offer them sausages. They will be back, with us of course! Thankyou Crown.
