Love Coming here and have returned several times either with just my good lady or friends, every time being impressed by the value for money and unwavering quality of the food. I just never tire of their duck pancake starter and they always serve amazing steaks.
Staff are always attentive, friendly and pleased to see us. They also serve great cocktails in the bar downstairs which is great before and even better after dinner!
Just all round a cool, welcoming and great place to impress others with.

Same thing on here, would give it 4.5* if it was an option!

Went here on a Monday evening, as seen the building before, and been told about a promotion on a Monday called "Mussels Monday".

Loving mussels, thought I'd take my wife for a surprise visit.

On arrival, at 6:30, the place was empty, but was greeted by a friendly waiter, and exchanged a bit of banter before we sat down.

Looked through the menu, and saw the mussels special, with a choice of the traditional marinieire, mediterranean, or a thai style sauce. Which came with fries, and a glass of wine (I'm trying to be good and not drinking, and the waiter was happy to switch for a diet coke!) Had complimentary bread, choice of white with olive or brown with poppy seeds, which was nice.

The portion size was brilliant, half a kilo of mussels, the mariniere was rich and creamy, and my mediterranean sauce had a tomato base with olives and chorizo in, was all prepared/seasoned perfectly.

Will definately come back and try off the main a la carte menu next time, but as something to do on a Monday evening, would definately recommend it!

Had the two mussel dishes, with another glass of wine and a diet coke for £25 quid, which was brill.

Dinner for two, starters, main and desert, one glass of wine and two cocktails £104 including service. Not bad at all. The service was friendly and attentive and the food was very good. The brasserie was quite busy when we arrived at 8:00 on a Tuesday, so best to book.

We happened upon Monty's because we had parked opposite. We had a splendid lunch on a Saturday. We shared a seafood board and some gravlax. It was pure delight

We went here for the first time for the Anniversary of when we first met. We had a lovely time, the food was great and we were offered speciality breads on arrival with our drinks, The staff were very attentive and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, The room was a little noisy, so we found ourselves raising our voices to be heard.

The food prices were pricier than we would normally pay but well worth it. We will certainly revisit. Thanks for a lovely evening.
