“It seems to get better and better!”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

We have been to the Daffodil quite a few times over the years, and although we did not find it quite so good in the early years, it has become better and better.

Last Saturday we had lunch there and the food, the staff and the ambience were all first rate, infact the food was way better than quite a few restaurants I could name who would charge twice as much!.

Also on a Saturday lunchtime from 12.30 - 3.30 there is a live jazz group playing, who were highly experienced and who gave the finishing touch to a perfect venue to celebrate a Birthday.

“lush setting”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

very atmospheric, don't be put off by bar prices (upstairs), for the amount of alcohol in them they're very good value.

“Unique setting with excellent food”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

Visited the Daffodil in April 2012 during a few days in Cheltenham with friends. The setting is so unique - a restored art deco cinema. Excellent cocktails before dinner, a little pricey but what cocktails are cheap these days! A lovely steak and friendly efficient service. We went midweek and there were only a handful of other tables, i could imagine that when busy it would be a lovely atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

“Hosted the wedding of our dreams”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

Myself and my wife recently got married at The Daffodil and we couldn't have chosen a better venue. Whilst looking for a wedding venue, we went to The Daffodil for a meal -which is a restored Art Deco cinema - and it is such unique place we just fell in love! The food and cocktails are just divine and when we found out we could have our ceremony and reception there we paid the deposit straightaway.

Leading up to the big day, we were in constant contact with Katie the events manager and she was very accommodating with our requests and specific dietary requirements for our guests. She gave us plenty of options for our wedding breakfast and for our starter we chose Canapés. This gave our guests the chance to mingle and it also meant we could choose 6 canapés so it gave everyone plenty of choice. Katie was very enthusiastic during our meetings with her, and she gave us plenty of suggestions on how to make the big day go smoothly and make sure we got everything planned how we wanted.

On the big day itself couldn't have gone any better. Katie and all of the staff at the Daffodil were so friendly and helpful and they made sure the day ran smoothly and on schedule. All of our guests were so complimentary about the venue and they just loved the food and cocktails. It is a day myself, my wife and all of our guests will remember and we just can't thank everyone at The Daffodil enough.

Whether you want to go just for a romantic meal, or have a meal with friends or family I can thoroughly recommend The Daffodil, and enjoy excellent food and cocktails in Art Deco splendour.

“Food average”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

Setting beautiful, food average and slightly over priced, been there twice but not again. We also seemed to wait quite awhile for our food to be served.
