“Another First Class Stay !!”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

Enjoyed another fabulous week at Hanover House! This is a wonderful B&B and words can't start to express how enjoyable the whole experience of staying here is. Your hosts, Veronica and James, go the extra mile to ensure your happy and comfortable and they are just so welcoming and accept you into their home as one would family. The house itself is cosy, clean and full of charm and the bedrooms are large and very well appointed.
The full English is a must for breakfast and that together with all the other delights on offer such as home-made preserves and fresh baked breads it really makes for the perfect start to the day!
The B&B is very centrally located and only a stones throw to the town centre and all it has to offer with a variety of good restaurants and bars and your hosts are only too happy to point you in the right direction in this regard.

Already looking forward to my next stay.

Thanks to all at Hanover House !!

For the sixth year in a row had an awesome stay at Hanover.I stayed during the Gold Cup week, and could have forgiven Veronica and James if the attention to detail wasn't up to it's 100% norm. However,it was!!!I consider Veronica and James more than landlady and landlord to me,we have now become friends(which is very easy to do). From the begining very warm greeting and cup of tea(and a stroke of lovely Sophie the dog)to the goodbye(always with a heavy heart),I was made to feel completely at ease and relaxed. The room is always perfect with further tea and bscuits to be had.Bathroom superb.Breakfast is akin to The Dorchester.I would recommend HH to anyone.Roll on March 2014!!!!

Room Tip: All rooms are perfect.

For the past three years we have stayed at Hanover house for the cheltenham festival and it has become one of the main reasons we go back.for years we stayed at a 5 star hotel until we decided to try our luck at Hanover.Veronica and James welcome us into their beautiful family home as if we were part of their family.the house is incredible with everything you need to enjoy your stay.rooms are spotless, spacious and very comfortable and the bathrooms the same.the breakfasts are huge with every variety of cereal ,fresh fruits and yogurts to the full English.over the past three visits we have made some great friends whom we meet at the festival each year and all these friendships were forged over the breakfast table at havover.that really says something about the atmosphere within this beautiful family home.however if you were looking for somewhere to stay in Cheltenham, check it out.you definitely won't be disappointed.

Thank you Martin for your lovely review. We look forward, every Gold Cup week, to you and the other boys (and girl) coming and the fun and repartee. It helps make a very busy week something to look forward to. We're very glad that you appreciate what we have to offer.I really appreciate the flowers - although they're not obligatory. Perhaps you can get us a winner next year!

Just love Hanover House. I stay here once a year but have never felt the urge to try elsewhere despite the high competition in the area. Hanover house is ideally positioned for everything in Cheltenham. No taxis required here. Rooms are tastefully decorated and all are individual and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is a feast. We had a different fruit bowl each day. Lots of cereals etc. and that's before the freshly cooked course! I'm a traditionalist so full English for me, all cooked expertly by Veronica, our wonderful host throughout. I would suggest anyone paying north of £100 a night at a hotel could do a lot worse than considering the Hanover. I'm pretty sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Simon, thank you for your lovely review. Glad you think we're keeping up the standards, and that you enjoy your return match (or should that be race festival) each year. James and I both appreciate your enjoyment of the week as a whole and our part in it. We look forward to the arrival of the 'family' each year and the fun and bustle you bring. We already anticipate with pleasure, your visit to Hanover House next year.

This delightful Georgian guest house is owned by the equally delightful Veronica ably assisted by her knowledgeable husband James. Together they have created a magical oasis of calm and gentility within a stones throw of the city centre. The interiors, created by the very talented Veronica are an eclectic mix of Georgian, Victorian and modern styles, and are both warm and welcoming. Bedooms are generous and comfortable with almost every conceivable need being catered for. Breakfast is taken in the elegant dining room and is a sumptious afare with home baked bread and delicious home made marmalade. Wonderful. A great find and not to be missed.

From the moment you are greeted you feel that this is going to be a special place to stay. The decor is wonderful, the room was perfect and breakfast was like no other. I can't praise the hospitaility enough, so much so I booked my next stay for later this month when I checked out!
