Brilliant rooms with cracking bathroom. Had 4 showers & 1 shared bath in 18 hrs.
The hotel in really swanky with really tentative staff who made us feel welcome right from the start until we left.
The best breakfast I've had in a long time. Eggs benadict. mmmmmm.
Location on a slightly busy road but could spin that to a positive for people watching.
Highly recommend this hotel.
We stayed mid week in March in Jnr suite for £205.

Room was a good size, nicely decorated, quiet and very comfortable. An excellent location for the town centre and montpellier. Service was good and the staff friendly. We had some nice cocktails in the bar but did not use the restaurant so cannot comment about that. Better than the queens and kandinsky which are similar cost.

We stayed one saturday night in march having finally managed to get in.

Location is perfect just walking distance from the shops and the shops are amazing.

Staff were all very pleasant and couldnt do enough for you.

Room was lovely we had a room with one of the famous roll top baths. Could maybe do a bit more cleaning behind the bath!

The only gripe (minor) we had was with the restaurant. Having had our food order taken we had to wait about 10 mins for the rto come and take our drinks order which seemed ridiculous. We knew what we wanted and just wanted a drink! The starters were great but for my main I had a steak which was beautifully cooked but 50% of it was fat. For a restaurant charging £21 for a steak I would expect them to use a higher quality supplier. I did complain and they did their best to rectify the situation but the restaurant isn't cheap (we spent (£100+) and I think they need to sharpen up a few things to justify their prices.

Other than that it is brilliant and I cant recommend Cheltenham enough for anyone who loves shopping!

I want to go back and try the spa!

My favourite hotel to stay in Cheltenham, the HdV combine excellent service with an ambience that is both sophisticated and friendly. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them. The facilities are first-rate and the menu has something for everyone

We stayed on their Sunday deal - spend £75 in the bar/bistro and stay for £10. We had a lovely room. Very contemporary, great heated floor in the bathroom and lovely full size Arran Aromatics to take away. The bed was huge and very very comfy - we loved the pillows. The quality was excellent. We ate in the Bistro on the Sunday night and it was divine - overall, an excellent stay and excellent value for money. the location is perfect for the town centre and we never had any problems parking.

I visited the hotel for a short relaxing break, and the hotel did the job superbly. The room was spacious with excellent fabrics and fittings, a big comfy bed and a stand-alone bath in the room. The bathroom had the best 'monsoon' shower I've ever used.
Contrary to previous reviews I found the parking fine - I always managed to get one of the limited spaces at the front, but from my room I could see the rear car park always had plenty of space.
The hotel is a bit further from the city centre than some - an easy 5-10 minute walk - but is nicely situated in a Regency residential area - albeit most of the houses are now offices. As ever with HduV the food was superb - but the internet access was expensive and 'medium' speed at best.
