Very knowledgeable staff help you choose whisky by the glass or to buy by the bottle. They serve Pieminister pies and fresh cakes. There is a basement bar where there is less temptation! Upstairs there are rows and rows of whiskies. There are also a great number of wines and a couple of beers on draft. It can be a pretty lively place of an evening and a relaxing place during he day. Very different to any bar or cafe around.

We have visited this venue twice in the last week and have been left wondering why it has taken us two years since we moved to Cheltenham to get there as we are both very keen whisky enthusiasts. The stock of malts (and other spirits) is wide ranging and the staff are very knowledgeable.
If you have the slightest interest in malt whisky, then don't repeat our mistake and make sure you give it a visit sooner rather than later.

With fantastic knowledge about wines and spirits, every glass is guaranteed quality. A great place for a night out with friends and to sample new drinks

A real find during the Cheltenham Literature Festival. The very substantial Heidi pie - goat cheese, spinach, roasted garlic & sweet potato in a buttery pastry - delighted my taste buds & kept me going through a strenuous day of talks & writing workshops. The establishment is a pen's throw away from the writing workshop venue at St Andrew's Church. So, as I'm due to attend a few more workshops there, I'll be back.I also intend to savour one or more of the whiskies on offer - there's nothing like the amber liquid of a single malt to get those creative juices flowing. And the staff are friendly & knowledgeable, Check their website for news of regular tastings & offers, http://www.johngordons.co.uk/

This is the perfect little venue for a little night music whilst sipping from a vast array of whiskies. Wraparound outside seating with limited space inside. Great atmosphere but wine a bit pricey. Knowledgeable staff. We didn't eat here but seems more of a bar than a snack place or restaurant but I believe you could have nibbles.
