Loved this place, even though booked it by accident as didn't realise there were 2 cinemas next door. This is the posher one, so mildly embarrassed walking in with hot dogs from the main cinema next door. At table service; a very lovely way to go to the cinema and will definitely be going back.

Love going to see a film here, but expect to say goodbye to £40-£50 if you have a drink and food for two including tickets.
So its a special treat, rather than a weekly affair..

Emmy suggested the Screening Rooms... Good choice!

We went to see Iron Man 3. The movie is irrelevant though as, chances are, you will see something else!

Seats are large and extremely comfy. Plenty of space for nibbles and drinks which can be ordered from the staff (when you can catch their eye!). Emmy's wine was good, as was her dark chocolate - my chocolate raisins were better! We did not try the hot snacks, having just eaten, but they also looked good.

Picture quality is excellent, as is the lack of kids and rustling sweet wrappers. I know I am sounding like an old fart, but this is a much more civilised way to watch a movie!

You pay for what you get, this is not a cheap cinema. But, Emmy and I would rather see 4 movies a year here than 8 a year at a normal one.

Visited The Screening Rooms a couple of nights ago to see the new Star Trek film. It's the first time we had visted and it was a revelation!
I don't much like standard cinemas - too many people, mediocre snacks and drinks, no personal service. The Screening Rooms changes all that!!!
So, you are greeted on arrival, can have drinks and nice snacks (thai fish cakes, hummus, nachos, spring rolls etc) in the bar, are escorted to your seat and then have at-seat service for food, wine, gin n tonic, whatever takes your fancy.
The screening rooms themselves are small and intimate - I guess there were about 75 seats, so much less noise from the other customers, the seats themselves are massive and super comfy, we had complimentary 3D glasses provided, and the film was introduced by a member of staff.
All this for a small premium (£3 or £4 on top of the standard Cineworld price I guess)
Best thing about it was the very real sense of personal service and hospitality from the young staff, who were all passionate about cinema and genuinely seemed to want everyone to have a good time.
Thanks for a lovely night out, we will be back - I'm not slumming it in a standard cinema ever again

OK, for a more private feel to your viewing this is the bomb and you won't be sat next to any chomping riff raff at these prices! The bar drinks and food are equally as expensive as the tickets themselves (£17 each for iron Man 2D on a Saturday night!). Saying that it was nice to have plenty of leg room and the chairs are comfy and if you like your coffee in something other than cardboard or you prefer a beer or cocktail with your film then this is for you.
