Owner description: Cheltenham Town Hall was built in 1902-03 in order to provide a venue for the many balls and concerts which made up the town's social calendar at the turn of the twentieth century. Until the year 1900, that role had been filled by the old Assembly Rooms in the High Street, and it was their demolition to make way for a bank that prompted the Council to build a new, and much larger Hall on a new site. The Town Hall, situated on Imperial Gardens in the centre of Cheltenham comprises of a Grand Main Hall, distinguished by its Corinthian styles columns and coved ceiling.

Beautiful building, externally and internally. Provides a great place for school concerts, comedians and authors in the Literature festival.

“Beautiful building and excellent events held here”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

What a lovely building to have as your Town Hall. There are lots of excellent concerts held here and we have been to many. The staff are efficient and even the bar area has a reasonable short waiting time for a drink and at least the bar staff know what they are doing!

“Beautiful hall”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

I went to the New Year classical concert, what a beautiful venue. A gorgeou massive victorial hall with lovely ornate decoration. The stage was beautifully lit and there were twinkling fairy lights everywhere which gave the place a magical feel. The hall is big but even sitting in the back row we had a great view
A small cafe like room which didn't really offer enough in the way of food which was a shame. The bar is large and not particularly comfy but adequate for our needs
We have the use of disabled parking which there is plenty of on the strrets outside and surrounding the hall, not sure where you would park otherwise
We had a lovely evening with attentive, smartly dressed in evening dress staff and a lovely concert. Always loads going on there highly recommend the place
