Owner description: The Brewery Quarter is set to become Cheltenham’s premier retail and leisure destination where customers can shop, dine, stay and play! The current offering is a state of the art entertainment complex with a variety of fantastic restaurants and bars, 10 screen cinema, gym, hotel, luxury cinema, modern and up market bowling centre, children’s soft play centre, Wilko and Tesco Express. The Brewery Quarter has something for everyone with restaurants including the award winning Brewhouse & Kitchen, Nando’s, Prezzo, Chiquito, Frankie & Benny’s, Harvester and The Real China. Plus with newest eateries SOHO Coffee Co. and Cosy Club now open - you really are spoilt for choice! Just off the High Street you can grab a film at Cineworld – complete with IMAX, enjoy a game of bowling at the superb Hollywood Bowl, have a luxury cinema experience at The Screening Rooms or get fit at DW Fitness. The Brewery Quarter has been further enhanced by the new retail expansion which now links the existing highly successful leisure scheme through to the High Street, with retail outlets now available to let.

The refurbishment and transformation of The Brewery has been a positive thing for Cheltenham and for that area. With a collection of different eating places, with their different 'cuisines', a multi-screen cinema, and a gym, it offers somewhere vibrant and entertaining to go - even if it's just for some fast-food. It also feels, perhaps, a little safer and certainly cleaner and less run-down looking than parts of the High Street and town centre. None of the restaurants are 'high class' or 'posh', but affordable and modern; and the cinema is excellent.

There is something both depressing and reassuring by the homogeneity of places such as the Brewery.
It's depressing because the chain names you are familiar with highlight the way small businesses are being lost and have some level of sterility to them. Yet it's also reassuring because you know what to expect.
That said the Brewery is in many ways the best of these types of places I have come across. There are enough different bars, restaurants and cinema screens that the place has a buzz to it and feels comfortable.
The compact space also it easy to enjoy a good evening without needing to move too far, which when I'd come off shift from the pre-festival reception crew at the Greenbelt Festival was very welcome . The Nando's meal had a bit of a wait to be served but the staff were clearly busy rather than slacking. Then I was able to pop across the plaza to the cinema, using my Cineworld card to have a cheap night out.

I like the real China - cracking little buffet, there's American, & Mexican style restaurants, cinema is decent, & they have be a gym! Loads of parking nearby (provided your satnav doesn't get confused by Cheltenhams batty ring road system) overall it's a handy & modern looking asset to Cheltenham Town centre.

The Brewery has something for everyone, PlayBarn for the kiddies, places to eat for the family, cinema for everyone and bars for the adults. Nice little place to sit out and watch the world go by of an evening. Could just do with being bigger!
