A definite 'massive carbunkle' at the design stage. And in an area of town that could have done with having some style delivered to it - a missed opportunity. A strange open roofed mal lined with chain restaurants and shops, at least those which haven't closed down. None of our visits have yielded much enjoyment or value for money. Plus the carparking across the way is exorbitant. Avoid and search out Montpellier.

A lively precinct, with an array of themed chain or franchise venues and some shops, just off the High Street. Retail section is looking sad at the moment, with a large empty former Habitat as one of the anchors. The cinema is a standard Cineplex complex, but has the rather better Screening Rooms as an up-market separate section with more space, better seats and at-seat service of drinks and snacks. Seats are in pairs, obviously aiming to be a "date" experience. Not much more expensive than the main cinema and definitely classier.

Need I say more? Bit like being in a theme park. Expensive NCP car park over the road. BUT.... 2 mins walk away (exit the complex at the opposite end from the car park) there are real independent shops & cafes - try them!!!
