Great place. Spacious, comfortable, quality furniture and equipment. Excellent wood-burning stove. Ideal place for large families or a group of friends. Useful utility room with second fridge and large freezer. Picturesque Cotswolds village. Nice pubs near by. Can't fault it.

What a gem this converted barn is!

Four large bedrooms, two with on-suite bathroom
Large front room with two large sofa and a smaller two seat sofa
Wood burning fire
Kitchen dinner with large dining table
Additional fridge and freezer in the attached garage.
Oodles of hot water whenever we needed it and there didn't appear to be any drop in water pressure when we had three showers going at the same time!!
We were a party of six adults and enjoyed a very comfortable stay here.

The following observations are in no way meant to be derogatory as they did not have a negative impact on our holiday, they are purely observations

The cooker and hob were not large enough to cope with feeding up to 8 adults, we tried to prepare a full English on our second morning and struggled. A six ring oven would have made life so much easier and allowed us to eat in more often.

The chickens and peacock all seemed to hang about outside the front door, whilst they didn't bother us in any way, their poo was a bit of an issue, you'd think that six adults would be savvy enough to avoid treading in the parcels of poo...you'd be wrong!

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend the accommodation.

“A perfect location for a Family Weekend”
Reviewed October 1, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

A perfect location for a perfect long weekend to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday with close family and friends.
We were greeted by a cockerel and hens, a peacock, and sheep in the field next door. The children (aged 7 to 2 years old, plus a baby) loved it, more so when a local cat became a regular guest.
A lovely house, beautifully furnished and extremely well equipped, it coped with six adults and assorted grandchildren in comfort.
Gorgeous late summer weather ensured that a bbq (provided) and other meals could be enjoyed outdoors.
A walk through the village was enjoyed by all, enhanced by a classic car rally passing through.
A lovely house in a beautiful location with all of modern life's essentials thoughtfully provided. Will not hesitate to repeat this experience.

“Total relaxation”
Reviewed July 4, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Just returned from Southwold Barn, great base to visit all Cotswold towns/villages/hamlets. Really needed more than 1 week. After days out, the Barn was so inviting and comfortable to return too. Would recommend to any families/friends who want to get together for a break. Our group age ranged from 24 to 84 and all had a great time. In particular the 'welcoming committee' Mack the Peacock, Angel the neighbours cat, the cockerel and his 5 ladies and the friendly sheep and lambs in the next field, all kept us well entertained. Many thanks to Emma, Stuart and Matthew the owners who were most helpful, however it would appear we missed out on the famous ' Homemade Lemon Drizzle Cake' the other guests had experienced as Emma was on holiday when we arrived. Never mind better luck next time, as we would truly love to return some time.
