We ended a mini tour of the Cotswolds at Ellenborough Park and disappointingly the hotel proved to be our least favourite of the five we stayed in.
Perhaps the fact we were in one of the mews rooms rather than the main hotel contributed to this - a comfortable room with nice bathroom but with a feeling of a motel room rather than a five star hotel room.
We ate in our room but the sandwich my partner ordered was pretty poor - dry bread and none of the promised chips (in fact the menu described the sandwich as being hot, which it wasn't) - a new Argentinian chef was blamed for the mix-up.......
Breakfast was good and Jonathan friendly and professional.
Had we been in the main building, I may have added an extra star.More
