“A gem in Cheltenham”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

Tucked away behind Cheltenham's buzzing commercialism, the Red Pepper puts all the usual 'chain' restaurants to shame. Primarily the location provides some sanctuary particularly on a bustling shopping day, with a conservative and spacious interior. Then the lunch menu provides a wide range of cafe-style choice with some upmarket twists, I had the 'cheddar, broccoli and onion tart' which was £5.95. When served I was extremely impressed by the immaculate presentation and freshness of the dish for such a reasonable price. This restaurant accommodates for families, couples and friends alike with attentive and friendly staff. Can't fault it.

“Great food at a reasonable price”
Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

Went here when we first moved to Cheltenham and were very impressed so decided to return again to celebrate my partner's new job. I had pâté and a rack of lamb from their specials menu, my girlfriend had prawns as a starter and sea bass for mains. Both tasty and perfectly cooked and presentation was stunning. Portions looked a touch small but we were both full by the end and very good value for what we had. Would definitely recommend

“Lovely food, friendly staff”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

It was that time between breakfast and lunch and we had popped into a few places in Cheltenham for brunch. Many were happy to offer food but this was the one who offered something a bit different and gluten free. It's not difficult to do but it's difficult to get. Being GF is not, in most cases, a 'fancy', it's a health issue. That issue aside, the food was very good, staff very friendly and we will return.

“The tart, I loved the tart”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

We decided to go here for lunch on a visit to Cheltham. We came across it by accident. We were told to take a seat downstairs. The staff were very friendly. We ordered a coronation chicken Panini and a broccoli, cheese and sundried tomato tart. I will dream about that tart. It was beautiful, I wish I could have bought some to come home. My husbands was nice and my son enjoyed his chips. The staff were great, even when my son tipped his drink over on the table. If we go back we will return.....lovely!

“A nice restaurant with average food for the money”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

Friendly staff with quite a nice interior. Let down by the starter that I had. Main course was good though, however portion size was on the small side. I would go back and try this again at some point.
