I went here recently to a meal in honour a colleague and whilst the evening was convivial because of the company, my main dish, a lamb kebab, was stodgy and, while edible, not at all appetising. I am not exaggerating when I report that I have had better kebabs from a local Turkish take-away. If a good restaurant is a place to which you go to enjoy food you cannot enjoy at home this restaurant failed the test IMHO. Though the opening messe was alright and the Baklava dessert was good.
I should stress I have no axe to grind here and am not a covert spokesman for a rival restaurant. Also to be fair to the restaurant, I used to go quite often to the Turkish Efes restaurant in Great Titchmarsh Street, London where the food was, to use the term of the late, great Michael Winner "historic", and I can't help comparing that with any subsequent experience of this sort of cuisine.
