We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to see how big the place was. The decor with the tables containing carved figures and scenes with a glass top cover. There were lots of huge elephants and the overall impression was that someone had gone to a lot of trouble to make this place outstandingly beautiful.
I wish I could say the same about the meal. My companion ordered a curry (with 3 chillies meaning really spicy) and said it wasn't as he would have liked as it wasn't "hot" enough spice-wise. I ordered the sea bass, which I had ordered from another Thai restaurant before and enjoyed, but this was the fish cut into pieces and deep fried (rather greasy) and while our starter shared plate was excellent it was very expensive at £7.95 per person. The sea bass was also overpriced for what it was at £14.95. All in all I was rather disappointed by the size of the place and it was very crowded. It would have been better had the tables been arranged in a different way. But then again, this was Saturday night so I should have expected it. The bill was almost £80.00 which did include a bottle of wine so I really shouldn't complain about the price.
