5 adults stayed here for a few days in early March during “the Beast from the East” and “Storm Emma” snow storms! Emily and Tim were so helpful with our journey, updating us on local weather and recommending alternative routes when we hit blockages so firstly I just wanted to say a massive thank you for going over and above.
The cottage itself is well equipped, cozy and just a short walk away from the centre of Bourton-on-the-Water. With 3 double bedrooms, the accommodation was great, though 1 room is quite tight! Nevertheless, it’s for sleeping in and the living space and kitchen fitted all of us well. We did however bring the sofa in from the “reading room” to provide more comfy sitting space in front of the gorgeous log fire to stop arguments over who sat where!
All in all, we would definitely stay again.
Tucked away in a quiet location but only a few minutes walk of all the attractions of Bourton. Lots of good walks from the cottage as well, so no need to use the car.
Cottage is comfortable and well equipped. Clean and homely.
As it is a very old cottage the downstairs door ways are low so six footers need to be alert and the stairs would not suit the less able.
Upstairs the bedrooms are a little small but are fine for a holiday break. The beds are very comfortable with nice bedding.
Owners were helpful and prompt to respond.
We will probably look to book again in the future and would recommend to friends.
Delightful cottage in a gorgeous location. Hosts were fantastic. We wish we could have stayed forever.
Pussycat Cottage is a beautiful cottage, full of character. It is tastefully decorated to a high standard. Tim & Emily have thought of everything and were most helpful and friendly. All the bedrooms are lovely. The snug is a nice extra if you have a large party. The off street parking is extremely handy, especially I would imagine, in the high season. Not too far to walk to all the local amenities. A pub at the end of the road which was great for wet, cold winter evenings. The only downside is that it being an old cottage, the stairs are very small, steep and tricky to go down so be aware you may struggle if you are not agile. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would have loved to have stayed longer. Highly recommended! Many thanks for the hospitality.
Ideal location, just a short walk into Bourton, really lovely cottage, cosy and warm. Great for hubby's 50th surprise. Many thanks Ruth.
