Hidden down Mousetrap lane is the aptly named pusssycat cottage, the hosts Emily and her husband are friendly and acomodating, after handing me the keys and explained everything we were set. The free wifi is great but mobile signal poor but with "whatapp" you won't miss a beat. The cottage is suprizingly spacious and clean with solid beds and all new linen, there are 3 double bed rooms. A downstairs loo and upstairs bath/shower & loo. Pussycat cottage has all mod cons besides a washing machine and a cat, but, theres a laundrette 5 mins walk away.
Bourton-on-water is a real treat with ice-cream & tourist shops to boot, including antiques, jewellery, the motor museum and for guys of a certain age "The Den" which sells man t-shirts & novelties. If thats not your thing well theres feeding the ducks and just chilling with a cold, or hot refreshment by the rivers edge, and your well located to go anywhere from Oxford to Stratford-upon-avon. Altogether an excellent and reasonably priced holiday let in a great location.

We are a family of 5 from Sydney, Australia (kids: 3/8/10 years). We stayed at Pussycat Cottage for 3 weeks in Jun/Jul 2015 and had a fantastic time. The cottage is very cosy and full of Cotswold charm and character, which is exactly the experience we were looking for. The decor throughout really is immaculate and the cottage is stocked with all the creature comforts that you need in the modern age (WIFI, DVD, Bluetooth music etc). There are three good-sized double bedrooms and everyone slept really well (it's so quiet). There is a little courtyard garden which is perfect for a cup of coffee in the morning, or for a bit of al fresco dining in the evening. The cottage is only a 5 minute walk from Bourton-on-the-Water (such a beautiful village), which has everything you could possibly need. We regularly had breakfast at the local bakery cafe and enjoyed fish and chips by the river in the evening. The equally beautiful village of Lower Slaughter is just a 20 minute walk across the fields (great pub), the spa town of Cheltenham is 25 miles and Cirencester (Roman market town) is about a 20 minute drive. We have no hesitation is recommending Pussycat Cottage as the perfect base for a visit to the Cotswolds.
