Beautiful cottage in the heart of Bourton-on-the-Water! Hilary and Alistair left us everything we could have possibly needed, including lots of other, very generous goodies... bottle of wine, baby food sachets, a gift for our daughter... and lots more. Very kind and thoughtful hosts! Cottage itself is perfect - beware of the low ceilings but that's part of the charm. Would highly recommend and definitely again if we were in the area!
My husband and I run a busy working men's club so came here for a short break. The cottage is just charming, clean, close to all shops and restaurants, extremely well equipped and we just don't want to leave. Will definitely be back later in the year. Massive thanks to the very thoughtful owners.
We had a lovely time in Lavender cottage, the kids loved all of the toys, jigsaw's and books and colouring supplies. The cottage was lovely and very comfortable, within walking distance of everything, the bird sanctuary and the maze were brilliant fun. The village is beautiful with lots of little shops and restaurants, would highly recommend

We had never been to to Cotswolds when we booked the Lavender Cottage in Bourton-on-the-Water. We were immediately made to feel welcome be the initial contact from Hilary, the owner. She sent along lots of great information and answered all our questions about the cottage and the area. We fell in love with the cottage from the moment we stepped inside and after 3 days there, our 11 year old daughter wanted to skip the rest of our holiday and stay here. Everything about the place exceeded expectations from the beautiful garden outside our kitchen window to the cozy but spacious feel of the common room. Our daughter especially loved her top floor bedroom and she literally did not want to leave. It was a perfect 3 days in the Cotswolds with a great hike that starts right at our doorstep and lazy afternoons watching our daughter walk up and down the Windrush River through town. We will most definitely be back when next we visit the Cotswolds.
Lavender Cottage is perfectly located in Bourton on the Water, very close to the river and a short walk to all the local attractions and into town. It is a super cute historic property and was nicely sized for a family of 4. Hilary went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay, including a special gift for our twin boys who had just turned 4 before our trip and a couple of very thoughtful food items. The cottage has plenty to keep the family entertained, books, games, coloring, DVDs and everything you need to cook or wash. Hilary is an amazing host, very responsive and helpful, even stepping in to sit for our boys so that I could spend a little quality time with my hubby. A lovely holiday we will remember for a long time, thank you.
