This place offers immense value - 95 for dinner B&B for 2. Rooms are newly refurbed and clean. Room very very small but for one or 2 nights of great value it is a good deal. Breakfast good, dinner good, wine excellent and good value. Bourton is beautiful and lovely for hiking. Great weekend.

I think this pub must have changed proprietors from reading the present reviews, four of us arrived there at 16:30 yes it was quiet, all four of us had different meals and deserts and they were excellent we could not fault them at all, I can honestly say it was a very enjoyable meal with friendly staff, the pub itself was very clean and outside they have a large decking area that is all lit up in the evening smashing for summer evenings. We will be going back again and also recommending it to friends and family. Thank you all for a lovely meal and evening.
We did not stay over so cannot comment on the rooms.

The hotel has been renovated and is under new management. The manager/owner dealt with us directly and was great. The rooms are small but very nice, quiet, modern but still having the charm of the age of the building. We did the full package of B&B with evening meal. It was nice pub food and excellent value for money. Location was right in Bourton. There is a small car park out the back, we managed to get in but I can see that it might get a bit tight if patrons park there as well as guests. Really pleased we stayed there.

Spent a lovely weekend here. This hotel has recently been refurbished, on the whole we were more than pleased with all aspects of this hotel. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to resolve a problem that we had. We had bed, breakfast and dinner which was very good value and lovely food. We would certainly stay here again. This hotel is contempory in its style.

This is a newly refurbished pub/restaurant with 5 bedrooms all en-suite. The place has been redecorated and presents a lovely charming pub and restaurant area full of character and very appropriate for this very charming town. Great atmosphere and service from the very friendly landlord and all the staff who made us feel immediately welcome. Lovely raised and illuminated patio outside next to and overlooking the clear, fast moving water of the river Windrush. Restaurant menu reads well but tastes even better - very high quality food, well presented, in the nicely laid out restauarant. For the money this is fantastic value and should not be overlooked. Bedrooms are typical pub with rooms style - so a little on the small side but with TV and tea making they were fine.

I recently stayed at the Duke Of Wellington, and was pleasently supprised after reading the reviews. Yes the rooms are a little dated and the place could do with sprucing up a bit, but its clean and the staff are all so very friendly and couldnt do enough to help us.
We booked for an all inclusive offer and had dinner. The food was absolutly delicious!!! I highly recomend it.
When we got chatting to one of the waitresses we discovered that the pub is actually being refurbished in june and the rooms are being upgraded. Which if im honest is much needed as they are very tierd.
When we booked I had read their web page so i thought i knew what to expect, but on questioning this the staff told us that the previous landlord had set that up and they were in the prosess of removing it, as it is very misleading.
We loved staying at the Duke of Wellington and will be returning after the refurbisments are complete for a longer stay this time.

We booked this off the website having looked at numerous hotels in the area, we found that this sounded really good, and value for money, and menu for dinner gave a good choice. Should have checked with trip advisor. When we pulled in to the car park at the back of the pub that should have said it all with the rubish that was there. When we went to the room we were not impressed, the bed linen was worn the bathroom window was rusty. When we went to bed the pillows were flat and the bed you could feel the springs through the mattress.
In the resteraunt the menu had nothing like the choice on the web site, we had gammon steak which was really good, however the chips that accompanied it tasted as though it had been used for the last 12 months, needles to say we didn't eat there again, we did eat at the Chester House hotel which was superb, the attention to detail was wonderfull and we will definatley stop there next time. There is no way we would return to the Duke of Wellington
