“short stay”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

Stayed for two nights during our visit to the cotwolds, had a good deal for the stay, reduced price for the two nights, to us it was friendly ,with good staff who were attentive, and made us feel welcome, we stayed in for an excellant meal, our room was no. 2, which was adequate with good facilities, very clean, although the heating was timed we did'nt find it cold, i expect it would be different in the depth's of winter...my only gripe was you could'nt turn the tv off from the main's,so that the blue stand by light was always on, which woke me a couple of times during the night, otherwise a most enjoyable stay, would stay again.....

Room Tip: No tip, as only saw room 2 which overlooked the car park / patio, which could be noisy in peak times...

One night stopover. Arrived on our Motorbike, cold. Shown to room, small but adequate. But no heating was on. We were told it was on timer and would come on at six o'clock. No dressing table or hair dryer . There are better places to stay for the same money.

We stayed in Bourton on the Water and ate our evening meal at the Duke of Wellington each night the 3 nights we stayed there. Excellent food with very warm and welcoming bar staff. We were made to feel very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The best liver and bacon I have ever tasted!
Thanks for your hospitality.

On our return journey from York to Weymouth we stopped overnight at this delightful Inn/Hotel.
The rooms were well funished with all the usual requirements, tea coffee showergels etc. Food was well presented with plenty of variety. Good hearty breakfast in the morning before continuing our journey. Beautiful little town, very scenic.
