Description: The Mousetrap Inn Restaurant is the heart of our traditional Cotswold Inn. We are open to non-residents all day, every day. We have a comprehensive daytime breakfast, brunch and lunch menu serving up everything from a full English breakfast to smashed avocado on toast to pub stalwarts like our very popular Mousetrap Burger. Our a la carte dinner menu comes into play at 6pm each day and of course we offer a superb Sunday lunch menu too. We source our ingredients locally wherever possible, using Cacklebean eggs, Jesse Smith Butchery, Kelmscott Country Pork, Sourdough Revolution bread & Coln Valley Smokery to name a few. We are a free house with a great selection of beers, ales and wines from nearby and further afield. We are passionate about coffee, running 3 coffee shops nearby and consequently we offer the highest quality Coffeesmith Coffee and have a comprehensive menu of loose leaf teas and organic tea blends, made by a herbalist especially for us. Parties, children & dogs welcome!

once again we had a fabulous meal here
Although the pub was very busy we didn't feel rushed in any way There is always a good vibe to this place with plenty of chatter & a lovely fire going
Staff were all friendly & attentive no sign of any one grumpy as mentioned in other reviews
We will certainly return when that way again

The pub itself is actually nice, very cosy. The room we stayed in was fine for one night but was a little run down. Bathroom was reasonably clean. Food (breakfast) was quite nice too. The reason I say avoid is because the owner/landlord is the most arrogant and ignorant person you are likely to ever meet in the tourism industry. If your going to spend your money in Bourton, please give it to someone who knows the meaning of the word, welcome.

As a few other reviewers have notes, don't come here if you are a stickler for service. The night we visited the two staff members included the quite grumpy man behind the bar, and a very inexperienced young waitress who barely knew the menu. Wait times were frustrating. The grumpy man brought us our dinner and seemed quite annoyed when I asked for a second glass of wine. Go figure.

That said, the food was quite delicious. We had the fried scampi with chips. Prices were ok. We ended up enjoying our meal but I would not go back due to the poor service
