“Brilliand Birdland”
Reviewed June 7, 2013

Together with my wife i spent a delightful 4 hours photographing birds at this attraction, rounded off by a picnic in their nature reserve on the River Windrush. All the facilities were clean, the staff helpful and plenty of areas were provided where you could eat, or simply sit and rest. Oh and did I say lots and lots of interesting birds. I noticed a previous review criticizing the nature reserve for having plastic birds sitting in trees etc. However, as these form part of a children's quiz available at the gate, this criticism was a tad unfair.
Also thanks to Simon who replied to an e-mail about two unidentified birds within minutes.

“Really enjoyable visit”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

Visited this place recently on holiday and we all really enjoyed it. Lots of birds to see and the place is kept very well, clean and pretty grounds, nice little kids playground. Our kids loved seeing the penguins being fed, wonderful to see the only King Penguins in England! They were gorgeous!

Loved seeing the flamingos, parrots, owls etc. Really nice place to spend a couple of hours and quite reasonably priced too for £28 for family ticket. We also got a coupon from one of those days out brochures you pick up in attractions, for 1 free child admission so even better value!

“Amazing Penguins!”
Reviewed June 2, 2013 via mobile

Spent a lovely couple of hours wandering around here looking at the different birds and admiring the lovely landscaping of Birdland itself. Watched the feeding if the penguins where the guy spent 45 minutes telling us all about the penguins here and around the world. It was funny and informative, worth watching & listening too!

“Great day out”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

The whole family enjoyed Birdland. It's a great place to visit. Shame the lady on reception was so rude when my sister asked whether they did a discount for military staff. The receptionist said no. So my sister asked whether they could do it as student or concession rate. She ignored my sister and didn't answer the question and turned to me and said 'Can I help?'. I said actually we are all together. My sister was only asking, what was in the harm in that?
