“Good day out”

Lots of fun things to see. Penguins were great to watch. Watch the paths as they are slippery when wet as lots covered in moss.

“Great day out - even in the rain!”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

Great fun - we could have watched the penguins for hours! On the down side, the cafe was a little disappointing with a strong smell of frying food and poor decor - like a greasy spoon cafe!

“Nice low-key day out. Theme park this is not!”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

Took a group of nine year olds for a birthday treat. 1st visit.
All staff v helpful & welcoming.
Not too big, nice feel about it, not too commercialised (ie not loads of vending machines scattered around, & there is a shop but you don't have to go through it!)
Plenty of room for running & small playground area = lots of energy burned off.
Excellent cafe - let us pre-order & bring our own cake. The only cold drinks are bottled but happily provided water. Good, fast food, v good value. Couldn't have been more helpful.
Parrots, penguins, macaws & emu were great entertainment for the kids, loads of interesting species & the wildlife trail feels like being in a nature reserve.
Stayed 4 hours - could easily have stayed longer.
Really refreshing, down to earth, good value day out!

“Worth the Visit”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

Worth visiting, takes about 3 hours to see everything, reasonable value for money. Service in the cafe was good although food was a little overpriced but there were picnic tables where you could take your own food.

“Fab place..”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

Birdland is a great place to visit, we went last week during our stay in Bourton and so glad we did. There is also a nature reserve on site with a bird hide where we were lucky enough to see a kingfisher after a 15 minute wait! Well worth the money.
