We (2 adults, 2 18 years old teenagers) stayed in "The Well" for a week at end of October 2011. We were charmed by this cosy and lovely acommodation from the first second on we moved in. Lying in a dead end road only a few footsteps away from river Windrush we had a calm and relaxed living there. Bourton-on-the-Water is a lovely village. Small shops. A good choice of inns, pubs and restaurants. Beautiful countrysite around. Good hiking area. We loved our trips to Oxford, Stratford-on-Avon, Gloucester and Cheltenham, which are only a mere 45 minutes by car. So tourists can mix rural and civic experiences quite easily if they like. For dinner in Bourton we recommend "Rose Tree Restaurant". Good food. Friendly service. We hope to come back on one of these days.

The cottage was average, needs some updating. We arrived early and the owner was very rude and would not let us gain entry until the agreed time(even though the cottage was ready). Would not go back there again. The area was lovely and it was great to have everything on our doorstop.
