Cranbourne House
Reviewed September 18, 2012

My boyfriend and I visited Cranbourne House to celebrate our one year anniversary. On arrival we were greeted by the delightful Shona and Graham (not forgetting Chocco) who straight away made us feel very welcome and relaxed. We were shown to our room which was in the annexe and offered help with our bags which we kindly refused.

Our room was very modern without losing the "country cottage" feel and beautifully decorated. The shower room was clean and large and the shower was a drench shower which was great!

Shona and Graham could not do enough to help us and recommended restaurants, places to visit and things to do. They even took us to the bike shop to collect our hire bikes!

The highlight of the B and B is most definitely the breakfast - it is simply delicious! The produce is all locally sourced and it is non greasy and very yummy! Tea and coffee flowed wonderfully and the toast was also very nice.

The whole experience at Cranbourne house was just fantastic and we cannot recommend it highly enough! Shona and Graham were just brilliant and every B and B should have them!!

We have stayed at Cranbourne House twice this year and it really is outstanding. We stayed for the weekend in January for my husband's birthday and liked it so much we returned a couple of months later. We would probably go back again if we could think of an excuse! Shona and Graham (and Chocco) are absolutely lovely and really go the extra mile to make your stay special, advising on places to visit and booking restaurants as well as taking a real interest in their guests. We stayed in the Westcote room both times, it was comfortable and full of character and breakfast was lovely (loved the locally sourced ingredients). A really excellent B&B.

Room Tip: Loved the Westcote room

Just returned from a weekend at the Cranbourne House B&B in Bourton-on-the-Water. We have never enjoyed ourselves so much in ages. Shona and Graham were a delightful couple who went beyond the call of duty to attend to our every need. The dog wasn't bad either! Lovely room, fantastic breakfast, helpful advice in choosing where to eat. The room was very comfortable and the sun shone as well! Can't wait to do it all again. Well done Shona and Graham!

An amazing bed and breakfast, everything about it was fantastic. Our room was lovely, location great, breakfast was scrupmtious. The owner Sue and her daughter Emma couldn't be more accommodating, they have mastered the art of hospitality to a tea. All the little personal touches, e.g. home made cake in your room, booking of resturants were extremely thoughtful. It was my husband's birthday and a card was left for him in our room. I can't fault anything, such friendly, lovely people. I would definetely recommend the cranbourne. This is how all bed and breakfasts should aspire to be like.

My wife and I stayed for three nights leading up to the August Bank Holiday. What a beautiful, spotlessly clean fabulous homely house. Sue, Emma, Shona and Graham were lovely hosts, with nothing being too much trouble and so helpful with their recommendations. Sue's home made cake is gorgeous! We cannot imagine any other venue to be able to equal our experience in Bourton on the water. Thankyou.

We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary, on arrival our hosts had left us a nice box of choccies which was a nice touch.

The house is beaufiful and the rooms better than any 5 star hotel we had stayed in, huge drench shower, double basins the lot. Spotlessly clean throughout with a good choice for breakfast, well cooked and not that awful greasy stuff you can get.

Our hosts, Shona, Graham and chocco the dog could not have been better, friendly, attentive and thoughtfull without being over bearing.

Can not rate this place high enough
