Doll's Cottage is simply fantastic. It is perfectly located within an easy, five minute stroll of the stunning village - Bourton-on-the-Water. Also, it is ideally situated to access the major routes through Gloucestershire. Therefore, it provides the perfect base to explore the whole of the Cotswolds. During our stay, we enjoyed many walks from a variety of different locations. Doll's Cottage is exceptionally well-equipped with many little extras which ensures your stay is always incredibly relaxing. This was our third visit in as many years and we are looking forward to returning very soon. Thank you for another truly wonderful holiday.
Location, tasteful decor, clean, comfortable and dog friendly. We have taken cottage hols and short breaks about 5 times a year for many decades. Rarely do we return to the same one but we have stayed twice now and will be back again to this one. Heating and dog supplements seem bit steep when only staying for a short break but realise some people may take liberties and overall cost still reasonable for the location.
We were looking for a dog friendly cottage near Bourton on the Water and found this gem.
There is off road parking immediately outside the cottage and the interior of the cottage is very tastefully finished and extremely clean.
On arrival we were greeted with a lovely tea tray with coffee cake which was very welcome and a very nice touch.
The cottage is well situated for walking into the village and is directly opposite the Mousetrap pub which serves great food - with very large portions!
The cottage had all of the equipment you could need. Absolutely loved it and look forward to returning sometime.
Truly the best cottage we've stayed in, and we've stayed in many. Perfect location to potter into the village. The lemon drizzle cake on arrival was a lovely touch, and unlike many cottages the kitchen was extremely well equipped. Very clean, beautiful bedrooms, great shower and TV reception. Despite having to cope with two teenagers and a border collie, we couldn't fault this cottage - a perfect week.
stayed here after looking for a suitable cottage online , we wanted a central location to explore the cotswolds
Very easy parking right outside the cottage which to me is very important
. the interior is finished off to a high standard and it was spotless . great welcome with the cake , really nice touch .
the bedrooms are again very tastefully decorated and a generous size .
lovelly big garden at the back very restful.
We were able to explore the cotswolds with the help of Katherine and David the owners , they were so helpful and gave us some great ideas on the best places to visit especially local pubs and restaurants.
would definately stay again as there is so much more to see .
We had a lovely stay here in early May. The cottage was well furnished and very comfortable, and there is a pretty enclosed garden. On arrival we found a cake all ready for afternoon tea and milk in the fridge and flowers in the lounge which was lovely. The kitchen is very well equipped, there is a comfortable sitting room and sun room too. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a bathroom, all very clean and welcoming with parking front and rear, and set right in the heart of the village so everything is close by. There is a great variety of things to do in the Cotswolds. We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked another stay for later this year.
