My husband & I visited this pub while staying at Bibury Court Hotel on a romantic getaway weekend for our anniversary. Seeing as it is the only pub in the village we booked a table for dinner on the Sat night - we were given a free bottle of Prosecco when we sat down to dinner to help us celebrate which is such a lovely touch. We have never been to this pub before in our lives, so not like we are regulars...the staff are so friendly and helpful, this really is customer service at it's best. The food is delicious, good honest homecooked food done very well, thoroughly impressed just gutted we live in London and can't visit it more regularly! 5 stars :-)

We visited the Catherine Wheel for as we had driven past it en route to nearby restaurants The Swan, Bibury Court and The Village pub. The food was excellent, and despite it being mid week, the veges were all very fresh. Staff were young, friendly and attentive.
We sat near the fire in the side area which was very quiet but still with a nice atmosphere.
I highly recommend.

Just touring through Cotswolds and looking at Bibury. Came upon this small pub restaurant.
Despite being Sunday evening and the menu limited because of many people going in for lunch, the choice was right for our needs and the food was very good.

We rented a self-catering cottage in Bibury, which is our favorite Cotswold town, and spent several lovely evenings at the Catherine Wheel. Like many pubs, its cuisine has improved greatly over the years. It is no longer just a place for ploughman's lunches and sandwiches. Rather they have moved on to some very flavorful fare. The selection -- between a "pie of the day" (ham and leek was excellent!) and their fish offerings (Bibury trout are delicious!) as well as excellent soups is extensive, and do not forget to finish off your evening meal with one of their wonderful puddings. Sticky toffee is my favorite!

Unfortunately I visited when the restaurant was full, having just received a coachload of Japanese visitors. I was unable to fully evaluate the hospitality at The Catherine Wheel, though will say that their lovely staff did their best to cater for me in a bar area. The food served was faultless. though I might have appreciated more in a restaurant environment.
