This is really a lovely area. There are more unspoiled villages close by in the area. This one is very busy with lots of tourists--at least it was when we visited. But, it's lovely. Looks just like the pictures.

Found this place on trip advisor, travelling very close by so stopped for 1 hour to wander around. Worth a visit if in radius of 5 miles. We were lucky not many tourist when we were there but I do see other reviewers have had problems with tourist buses and felt they spoiled atmosphere. Lovely buildings and gardens of houses close by.

William Morris declared that Bibury was the prettiest of the Cotswold villages and it truly is so!
The much photographed weavers cottages of Arlington Row are built in Cotswold stone, the roofs too are of stone and are the most attractive of the village. The doors to these cottages are exceedingly low adding to their vintage attraction. Opposite Arlington Row over the foot bridge on the opposite side of the River Coln, hugging the busy highway is another row of stone cottages, weavers who worked in the nearby Arlington Mill were housed here. These 17th & 18th century stone cottages have spectacular front gardens. One cottage garden on the extreme right belonged to an elderly couple and was the most delightful of all. The Old Mill and the Trout Farm are other attractions of this beautiful Cotswold village. In the clear waters of the River Coln you may see trout and ducks & moorhens on its grassy banks. Any visitor to this part of the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire must not skip Bibury as this little village is the very heart of the area.

A row of old cottages as everyone imagine they were in the past. Perfectly restored. Unique but there's only a small street, called Arlington row, to visit.
