The owners of the catherine wheel couldnt have done more for us. We were attending a wedding close by..they gave us a lift to the venue. The surroundings were beautiful, the food was fantastic and a very reasonable price. The room was spacious and had recently been refurbished to a high standard. The owners realy care about their business and their guests and will do everything to ensure you have a good stay. Would definetely recommend both a meal at the pub and a night in the rooms..will hopefully be back soon to enjoy the walks and surroundings.

Four of us ate lunch at the Catherine Wheel recently, my rump steak was tough, full of gristle and inedible. I did complain and was offered a free coffee as recompense, I asked for a free pud instead as I don't drink coffee. The sticky toffee pudding was very tasty but was very dry and I suspect microwaved, the other three meals were adequate but unremarkable. The staff were pleasant when I complained but did say they had had problems with steak before, maybe they should change their supplier. Will not eat there again.

We stayed one nite; our 2nd trip. We were enroute to Europe after settling our daughter into Warwick. Bibury is a must drop by. Its quaint, pretty, peaceful & has many pretty little shops!
Catherine Wheel was a good rest point at good rate, big room & cottage like feel. Very nice couple running the place with son as chef. The potatoe chips is yummy & the beef steak was tender & good! Thanks !
Will visit again !

We stayed for one night midweek at the beginning of October for £49.99 per room including breakfast. The rooms are in a separate barn (of which I think there are 4) located alongside the carpark facing the pub. It was midweek so the pub and carpark were quiet. The room was large with a flat screen tv, tea/coffee making facitities, bottles of water and a large comfy bed. The bathroom was modern with a shower (no bath) and spotlessly clean with complimentary toiletries. The room was nice and warm (in fact we turned out radiators down). We had an excellent evening meal in the restaurant. Breakfast was also excellent with cereal, fruits, toast, etc and a full english. Bibury itself is pretty and quiet and there is good walking to be had in the area. Bourton-on-the-water was especially nice at this time of year because it was not crowded. The lakes walk is nice and steady at 3.5miles and Birdland is good if you like birds (especially penguins).

I travelled to Bibury recently in June this year with friends. Bibury is a lovely charming little village. Most of the accommodation was very expensive, but we found the Catherine Wheel reasonable. The meals were wonderful and the rooms clean and very comfortable. In fact we couldn't fault the place at all, they were very accommodating. Would highly recommend and would love to come back and stay sometime.

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst in the area for a wedding. Most hotels we looked at in the area were pretty expensive, this was very reasonably priced in comparison so we weren't expecting anything amazing, but ended up being very pleased. It is a pub with rooms in a separate "barn". Lots of parking right outside the door. Staff were very friendly indeed.

The location is great, a few minutes walk from the centre of Bibury which is a very cute village with teashops etc.

We only ate breakfast at the hotel not dinner, the breakfast was great -- cereal, fruit, toast and juice, and a full english if you wanted one.

We had a deluxe room which was large and comfortable. The bed was a bit old and creaky but not too much of a problem. Tea & coffee, bottles of water. Bathroom was a bit old but clean and functional. Shower, no bath. Some complimentary toiletries. Small flat-screen tv with freeview channels.

Highly recommended for a comfortable, inexpensive stay in the area.
