Description: WE DO NOT REPLY TO ANY COMMENTS POSTED. PLEASE CONTACT US DIRECTLY IF YOU WOULD LIKE A REPSONSE. Established 60 years ago, Le Talbooth has grown from a quiet tearoom into the award winning restaurant it is today.Fine dining at its best, in an enviable location beside The River Stour. Le Talbooth suits every occasion from intimate dinner for two to family celebrations or business functions. The 15th century building has three individual dining rooms. The River Room restaurant unfurls onto the impressive open air dining space which is covered by a striking architectural sail. This makes dining outside possible whatever the weather. The old Room, a smaller intimate room with inglenook fireplaces and rich decor and The Waevers Room on the first floor are ideal for private dining parties. Whichever you choose, Le Talbooth will ensure an unforgettable dining experience.

I was taken to Le Talbooth for my birthday on Boxing Day and I have to say it was the best meal I have ever had.The whole experience was wonderful, the staff were on hand yet discreet and the food was amazing. Having worked there 30 years ago it was great to see that the attention to detail still existed. Highly recommended.

Following our third meal at Le Talbooth in the last 8 weeks I felt compelled to write a review. The standard of food has always been very good but now it is consistently excellent. The flavours, combination of ingredients and presentation are sublime. Today's menu demonstrated this perfectly. The venison carpaccio with tiny horseradish croquettes and pickled shallots set the taste buds tingling with expectation for the main. And I was not disappointed. The loin of mutton and pie was rich in complexity of taste and depth of flavour. The cheese was probably my least favourite course. Although perfectly adequate there was not enough variety of texture in the cheeses. However the dessert picked up again with the most amazing custard tart. So soft and perfectly cooked; easily comparable to that of the master Marcus Wareing at the Berkeley! Great wine and the new subtle and elegant decor made today another success. Can't wait for my next visit in a few weeks time.

This is in a very old house, low ceilings and fantastic food. Not the cheapest but worth the splurge.

Dined at Le Talbooth whilst staying at the Maison Talbooth up the road. We got chauffeured by the hotel's Range Rover to the restaurant (and picked up at the end of the night!)

Nicolai looked after us so well throughout the evening. He was the perfect balance of professional, whilst at the same time also willing to have a chat. He was charming and really made the evening for us. Even though we declined coffees, he was kind enough to bring us a selection of handmade delicate chocolates to pick from (we somehow managed to find space following the Chateaubriand and DIVINE desserts!). I believe the chef there is relatively new, and he is obviously doing a fantastic job! They are also in the process of refurbishing the restaurant, so it will be great to revisit at some point and view the changes.

If you are in the area and fancy treating yourselves, GO HERE!
